Oahu Excursions Worth Every Penny

You could just sit on a beach in Hawaii. Or, you could add an adventure or two with out breaking the bank.

Kualoa ATV Tour

I had never driven an ATV before and was a little nervous that I might not be able too.

It was a BLAST!  You so need to do it!

How could you NOT want to drive through Jurassic Park and Jumanji?

Kualoa Ranch has various types of tours… Atvs, buses, horses, and jeeps. But the 2 hour ATV tour is the best!

Every other group of tourists we passed wished they were on an ATV.  You could see it in their faces.  It was impossible to look like we weren’t having more fun than them as we passed by on our cool ATV’s.

Bonus, we pretty much got a private tour of the Ranch and Movie sites in our little group of 6.

Two Good Kayaks Hawaii

The 5 hour Guided Tour, Worth Every Penny!  I could just adopt Ben and Val,  our guides. We hated saying good bye to them, in just 5 short hours they had become family.

This Map of the Grounds

is a loose guide….we got so lost, multiple times while exploring. Somewhere in the Hawaiian section we needed a machete.

Oh my goodness, I’m sure it was a boar trail, not an intended trail. Suffice it to say the markings are not easily found or followed.  The boys didn’t mind at all.

Me, their mosquito magnet forgot to bring bug spray.  I left with a dozen bites.

BTW, this is the only place in all of Hawaii that I wish I had bug spray!

I wish you could hear all the birds.   So unreal!

Ka’ena Point Trail

My last suggestion is free. A pretty drive through the countryside of North Shore Oahu gets you here. Then hike as far as you like, we only had time to hike in about a mile or so on the trail.

Such a pretty trail to follow and take in the splendor that is Oahu.

There are so many tours you can enjoy on Oahu. I know I left out many that others would include, …Pearl Harbor for example.  But, we enjoy more of the outdoor adventure tours and activities.  It’s just our personal preference… maybe because we live in a big city, going where the crowds are doesn’t sound appealing.

Anyways, I hope you are encouraged to do at least one adventure, these are Excursions Worth Every Penny in my opinion.

Aloha!
